Despite the high-tech facility and diverse production capabilities, the company maintains its original holistic principles and philosophies; with the primary objective to create and distribute certified organic, whole food/herb products using the very best technologies to ensure the most densely nourishing natural health products available for our customers in the global marketplace.

What makes Naturally Nova Scotia stand out amongst natural product manufacturers are the unique products and processes the company creates and employs on a daily basis. All of our products contain low temperature processed ingredients, sourced from certified organic plant materials. Our products are delivered in a variety of forms, including whole food tinctures, capsules, powders (bulk and single serve sachets), caplets, and chewable tablets.

NNS's 30,000 square foot manufacturing site houses a collection of freeze dryers capable of removing approximately 96% of the water content from fresh botanicals while leaving the cellular structure and medicinal compounds uncompromised. This is an industry leading method of preserving/drying plant materials to be used in the manufacturing of quality natural health products.

Additional state of the art machinery and company capabilities include a custom-made Extractor, industrial press, and roto-evaporator for herbal tincture production; an automatic encapsulation machine to fill capsule shells with organic botanicals; two (2) state of the art tablet presses to create high quality caplets and chewable tablets; a separate manufacturing building used when working with potential allergen ingredients; as well as an industrial-grade granulator and dimensional blender.

Naturally Nova Scotia is a true herbal company in every respect. It follows a policy of vertical integration, including growing and harvesting plants, new product formulation, manufacturing and packaging, and finished product distribution. To achieve its position as a leading producer and innovator in the herbal industry, Naturally Nova Scotia has invested heavily in research in conjunction with The National Research Council of Canada, P.E.I. Food Technology Centre, Agriculture Canada, Acadia University, University of British Columbia, and others.
